Fun at Burrs Country Park

This August, I had the pleasure of setting up my stall at Burrs Country Park in Bury during a fun charity dog show in aid of Lincs Doberman Rescue. It was a day filled with wagging tails, friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun!
My lovely friend Alison joined me for the event, and I have to give a big shout-out to her—thank you, Alison, for being such great company and support. We had a wonderful time watching the dogs compete, especially the naughty ones who brought plenty of laughter to the crowd.
Although it wasn’t the busiest sales day, I was thrilled to make a few sales and connect with fellow dog lovers. The highlight of the day? Meeting and shaking hands with the Mayor of Bury, who stopped by to support the event.
All in all, it was a fantastic day at Burrs Country Park, filled with community spirit and good vibes. I’m already looking forward to the next event!
Weathering the wind at Bury Football Club

The following week, I set up my stall at Bury Football Club for another exciting event. I’ll admit, I was a bit worried about this one—the weather forecast called for heavy rain and high winds all day. And while the elements did put us to the test, with gusts sending things flying and frequent adjustments to my gazebo and display, it turned out to be a surprisingly good day.
Despite the challenges, sales were a little better this time, and I had the pleasure of meeting some truly lovely people. One standout encounter was with a lady from The Bury Blind Society, who suggested I might be able to host an afternoon session at the Society to talk about my business, particularly my dog-related items. It’s an exciting opportunity, and I’m looking forward to exploring it further!
And guess what, the Mayor of Bury made an appearance at this event too! Unfortunately, he didn’t have time to stop by my stall this time around, but it was still great to see him supporting the local community.
All in all, it was a day of perseverance, unexpected connections, and positive outcomes—proving that even with unpredictable weather, there’s always something to be gained.
